About VeraLabs
Last updated: April 18, 2026
VeraLabs is an independent editorial fashion and fine-art photography studio producing original visual work for the @veracrvs Instagram presence, the studiov.aemons.com website, and the NEONWORLD narrative project.
Ownership & Structure
VeraLabs is an independent, unregistered creative initiative based in India. It currently operates as a single-person studio with no other owners, directors, partners, or employees. All creative, editorial, engineering, and operational tasks are performed internally, supported by tools and AI agents from Anthropic (Claude), Google (Vertex AI / Gemini), Meta (Graph API), and similar commercial providers used under their respective terms of service. Formal registration under the Indian Societies Registration Act or equivalent is planned; until then, the studio operates as an independent artistic practice rather than a registered legal entity.

What We Do
VeraLabs produces three distinct bodies of work:
- Editorial photography & fashion moodboards — original conceptual imagery in the tradition of Helmut Newton, Annie Leibovitz, Richard Avedon, Peter Lindbergh, and classical figure-study painters (Ingres, Degas, de La Tour, Caravaggio). Published as carousels, reels, and posts on @veracrvs and in gallery form on studiov.aemons.com.
- NEONWORLD visual novel — an interactive narrative art project currently in development. Non-profit in spirit: the work will be released primarily free to the public; any paid tier will be priced at cost-recovery minimum. The project is academic and artistic in nature, intended as a contemporary continuation of visual-novel and narrative-art traditions.
- Open moodboards & creative resources — concept grids, colour studies, and reference sheets made publicly viewable for designers, stylists, students, and collaborating businesses.
Editorial Standards & Content Integrity
Our published work follows the conventions of fine-art photography and editorial fashion. All imagery is:
- Original, created by the studio using a combination of photography, AI-assisted image generation, and post-production, with full creative direction and ownership.
- Consistent with the editorial conventions established by recognized masters of the fashion and fine-art photography canon, and with what is routinely published by established fashion and art magazines.
- Published with respect for audience context: our audience is adults (18+), and our content is presented in editorial / gallery framing, not in sexualized or explicit framing.
- Reviewed against platform-specific policies prior to publication — organic social content follows Instagram Community Guidelines; paid advertising uses a separate, stricter selection aligned with Meta Advertising Standards.
Where a single image could be read either as editorial figure-study or as mature content depending on context, we default to the conservative reading for advertising purposes. Our internal "NEONWORLD Council" review system (a multi-agent AI evaluator) provides ad-safety scoring on every piece of content before paid promotion.
Responsible AI Practice
AI tooling is central to our production pipeline. We use AI responsibly under the following commitments:
Provider Terms Respected
All AI usage operates under the published terms of service of Anthropic (Claude), Google Cloud (Vertex AI / Imagen / Gemini), Meta Platforms (Graph & Marketing APIs), and any other provider. We do not attempt to circumvent safety filters, jailbreak models, or generate prohibited categories of content.
Creative Direction by a Human
AI outputs are used as creative material under the direction, selection, and final approval of the human studio lead. The aesthetic, narrative, and editorial decisions are human decisions; AI accelerates execution but does not replace authorial intent.
No Impersonation or Deepfakes
We do not use AI to generate likenesses of real identifiable individuals. The recurring character "Meera" appearing in NEONWORLD and gallery work is a fictional composite with no real-world referent. We do not create imagery intended to defame, deceive, or impersonate any person.
Disclosure
Our content routinely uses AI-assisted generation. We are transparent about this in captions, portfolio notes, and press inquiries. We do not claim AI-assisted work is purely photographed, and we do not claim photographed work is purely AI-generated.
Child Safety
We do not generate, publish, or host any imagery of minors. All depicted subjects are adult in appearance and narrative framing. Our prompting guidelines and internal ad-safety council explicitly block any output that could be read as involving minors.
Data Minimisation
We do not train third-party models on user data collected from this site. Audience insights (Meta Insights API) are used only in aggregate for editorial and marketing planning. No personally identifiable information is shared with AI providers except as required to process an individual prompt/query.
Creative Expression & Artistic Framework
VeraLabs operates within the long-established tradition of fine-art fashion and figurative photography — a tradition that has, for over a century, included editorial nudes, classical figure studies, and provocative conceptual imagery by photographers such as Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Irving Penn, Bert Stern, Guy Bourdin, Nobuyoshi Araki, and many others whose work is held by major museums (MoMA, Tate, Centre Pompidou, National Gallery of Art).
We regard the editorial-photography canon as a legitimate form of artistic and cultural expression, equivalent in standing to painting, sculpture, and cinema. Our work engages this canon in a contemporary register. In occasional instances, automated content-moderation systems may flag editorial or classical-figure imagery under generalised rules that cannot distinguish between context and genre; in such cases we appeal in good faith through the platform's review process and accept the platform's final determination.
Where our work is hosted on or distributed through third-party platforms (Instagram, Meta ad system, etc.), we defer to those platforms' community and advertising standards. The standards we apply internally are at least as strict as the platforms we distribute through.
Values & Operating Principles
The studio's work is guided by:
- Artistic seriousness: we approach fashion photography as a discipline with a history worth honouring and extending, not a shortcut to shock value.
- Equal dignity: all subjects depicted (fictional or otherwise), all collaborators (human or AI), and all audiences are treated with the same respect, regardless of gender, geography, or background.
- Openness: moodboards, colour grading recipes, and creative-process notes are published freely wherever doing so does not compromise a commissioned work or a collaborator's privacy.
- Accuracy in advertising: marketing copy represents what is actually offered; no false scarcity, false endorsement, or misleading claims are used.
- Platform-native compliance: on any platform we publish to, we follow that platform's rules — not our interpretation of them, and not what other accounts are "getting away with."
Collaborations & Commissioned Work
Collaborations with fashion labels, publications, and independent designers are welcome. All collaborations are conducted under written agreement; we do not publish, republish, or promote third-party content or likenesses without clear consent and, where relevant, a model release. Rights, revenue split, and creative approval are negotiated per engagement.
